Eye Coordination Exercise 1

WINDOWS TO THE GOALS

There are three exercises here for improving your eye coordination. The eyes have powerful pathways to the brain and so can preempt passes and patterns of play within a match. As a supporter in the stands with a better perspective of the pitch, or if you are watching on television, you can see a wider range of passes and tactical options. The quicker you can see these possibilities, the faster the ball can move in your favor. Reversely, you can help your team defend by shifting the energy to the right areas of the pitch. These simple tasks will help to build eye focus and peripheral vision, and link them to your command codes.

EXERCISE 1a: DIRECTIONAL MUSCLE BUILDER

  • Try to hold a position marked by the arrows for 30secs.
  • Then do the same in the opposite direction.
  • Go through all 8 positions.
  • Then close your eyes and relax.
  • Try to BREATHE consistently throughout the exercise.
  • You will feel a direct energy build up in your consciousness

EXERCISE 1b: ROTATIONAL MUSCLE BUILDER
